Isaiah 66:1
"Thus, saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?"
"This verse introduces the theme that when the great Millennium is ushered in, the Lord will make the earth his dwelling place. It is his footstool, meaning the place where his feet shall rest. He therefore asks about his house in which he can dwell and the place where he can call his place of rest or a place of dwelling. No doubt this is referring to a temple, which the Lord says "my people are always commanded to build unto my holy name" (D&C 124:39)

I love the following video. It is excerpted from the church video, "Between Heaven and Earth", about the beauty and sacred meaning of Temples. I love how those of other faiths can see the importance of building Temples today. A restoration of that which was known anciently, the temple is a place of Light and Love. It is the house of God.
